Paris offers the traveler hundreds of hotel choices, from luxury class hotels to charming historic inns to basics-only budget accommodations.

There are hotels located in every neighborhood, so a good place to start is to determine in which part of Paris you wish to stay.


Louvre/Les Halles/La Bourse


This area includes many of Paris’ 5-star and most famous hotel properties. Hotels here range from 1 to 5 stars, but tend to be some of the priciest hotels in the city.

LE Marais/Ile St. Louis

Close to excellent shopping, this area boasts hotels with ratings of 1 to 4 stars, with many at the 4-star level. Properties tend to be pricey here, as well.

Opera/Madeleine

One of the oldest parts of Paris, this area is popular due to charm and central location. Hotels here are quite pricey, although some bargains can be found. Ratings range up to 4 stars.

Champs Elysees/Etoile

Boasting the Arc de Triomphe, this area has many 4-star properties and attracts many business visitors in addition to vacationers. Nighttime tends to be quiet here.

Trocadero

A shopper’s paradise, this area boasts properties of up to 5 stars and with slightly lower rates than adjacent districts.

Latin Quarter

Home to the Panthéon and the Sorbonne, this area’s hotels range up to 4 stars, with many 3-star choices. Rates are generally quite reasonable.

Saint Germain

The most colorful Left Bank neighborhood includes properties of up to 4 stars with many choices at the 3-star level. Prices are average to high, but bargains do exist.

Eiffel/Orsay

The neighborhood surrounding the Eiffel Tower has many 3- and 4-star choices, and rates are average for the city.
